    Counseling services

Counseling is a professional relationship with a licensed professional counselor. In seeking out counseling, you may be looking to develop new strategies for coping with challenges and changes in your life. You may be looking to deepen your awareness and gain new insights about your life and the meaning you make of it. Counselors can help you come up with the solutions you need to not just survive, but grow and thrive.

I provide counseling services for adult individuals. We will talk through what you are bringing to counseling, and work on remembering your strengths. We will build up your toolbox so that you have strategies to manage and work through difficult situations.

Whether you are dealing with loss of any kind, or dealing with a difficult life transition including changes in your health, you can expect compassionate care focused on helping you build sustainable tools to navigate through.

    Meeting Format & Practice Hours

I provide counseling services only through telehealth (video) at this time. I use a HIPAA-compliant video platform.

This platform is user-friendly and doesn’t require you to download or install any apps or software. You will receive a link by email prior to your appointment.

Telehealth sessions provide ease of access for you to be able to attend sessions, especially when you’re juggling a tight schedule. We will discuss whether this format is right for you and your specific needs.

My telehealth hours are currently Tuesdays from 7am - 11am, and Wednesdays 7am - 4pm (by appointment only). By law, I can only provide telehealth services to individuals located in PA at the time of the session. My practice is based in Montgomery County, PA, and I also serve individuals in the Greater Philadelphia area.

    Rate & Insurance Info

Individual Counseling Sessions: $170 per 50-minute session

My rate is an out of network (OON) rate. This means that I do not contract with any insurance companies.

By not contracting with insurance companies, this allows me to offer you person-centered care that is tailored to your specific needs. Contracting with insurance places you within a medical model, where I’d have to defend each of your sessions as “medically necessary”, and diagnose you. By not contracting with insurance, there is more privacy for you.

If you would like to submit the fees you paid to me to your insurance company for possible OON reimbursement, I can provide a Superbill. A Superbill is a type of receipt with all the information on it that the insurance company will need to reimburse you. You would be solely responsible for submitting this Superbill. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to check your OON benefits, and that an insurance company can change their policies at any time. You are still responsible for the full session fee regardless of whether your insurance company reimburses you.

    Good Faith Estimate

Notice to clients and prospective clients:

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services, for up to one year at a time.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

Good Faith Estimates do NOT include costs associated with the following: Cancellations, No-shows, and Emergency sessions/crisis care.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Good Faith Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
